I seriously cannot believe it, but Mila is now ONE!
It seems like she was just born yesterday. Yet, at the same time, I feel like I have known her my whole life.
Her actual birthday was pretty mellow:
birthday pancake for the family, swinging outside, reading books, opening presents and playing with all of her new toys, dinner out with her mama and daddy, and then a delicious strawberry cupcake.
Mila chats a bit nowadays, saying words like:
ball, hi, mama, and dada (though this is more of a "daya")
She crawls all over the place and is VERY interested in playing with the dog food.
She wants to hold it, pour it out of the bowl, eat it, feed it to the dogs, put her hand in the bowl, etc.
She gets faster with crawling every day and is getting harder to keep up with. She cruises all over the furniture and gets into just about everything.
She is also starting to try to crawl on her feet rather than her knees.
She has more teeth than we can keep up with: four on the bottom, at least three up top, two molars, and a third molar coming in.
Mila loves:
yogurt, cheese, crackers, peas, her baby dolls, dog food, watching her Baby Signing Time videos, dancing, getting tickled, blowing raspberries on her mama's legs, sunglasses, splashing in the bath, swinging, exploring outside, and her very most favorite thing is having Austin sneak up on her and scare her. She LOVES it and squeals with anticipation. She will also crawl to the end of the hall and wait for him to chase her. So cute.
Mila doesn't love:
getting out of the bath, when people don't share their food with her... not too much else.
We will be headed to San Diego next week for her birthday party and to celebrate with family and friends.
We will also be taking her to the zoo and the beach, which I can't wait for!
